ABOUT PAIGE DANIELS
I have recently graduated with Distinction in a MSc Education (Research Design & Methodology Pathway) at Oxford University funded under the Clarendon Scholarship and Linacre NOSCE award. This course, though strongly anchored in the education sector, centres on enhancing quantitative and qualitative data analysis and research design skills in its students. My mixed-methods dissertation focused on the field of educational gerontology, namely the English u3a (University of the Third Age) movement.I also hold a 1st Class Liberal Arts (BA) degree from the University of Nottingham (UoN), specializing in English and Education. I have a strong academic record, having achieved straight 9/A* grades at GCSE, straight A*s at A level, and averaged a 1st Class grade/distinction across every under/postgraduate university term.In addition to my studies, I have gained valuable experience in linguistics research, working closely with Dr Helen Buckler in the School of English on a project investigating children\'s understanding of UK accents and stereotypes. I have also developed my leadership and presentation skills as both a state-secondary cover teacher/ tutor and Subject Ambassador for the Liberal Arts program at UoN, providing a friendly and informative voice to prospective students and parents at open days and Q&A sessions. Furthermore, I have demonstrated my commitment to diversity and inclusion as the Schools Officer for the 93% Club, a charity that supports state school students (like myself) in accessing and succeeding in higher education/competitive careers. In this role, I have organized and facilitated outreach events across Nottinghamshire, liaising with both the University and local schools to promote the charity\'s vision and mission.
