My Roles and Responsibilities as a Functional Consultant Include:1. Requirement Gathering:Interact with business stakeholders to understand their procurement and inventory management needs.Analyze client requirements and propose SAP MM solutions.2. Configuration and Customization:Configure SAP MM modules (like Purchasing, Inventory Management, Material Master, Vendor Master, etc.).Customize SAP according to business needs (adjusting settings, fields, workflows).3. Integration:Work on integration with other SAP modules likeSAP SD (Sales and Distribution)SAP FI/CO (Finance/Controlling)SAP WM/EWM (Warehouse Management)SAP PP (Production Planning)4. Data Migration:Assist in migration activities (such as LSMW, BAPI, IDOC for Material Master, Vendor Master).Validate data during the transition to SAP systems.5. Testing:Performance of Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).6. Support and Maintenance:Handle Incidents (tickets) and resolve production issues.Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues.Ensure smooth functioning of procurement and inventory processes.7. End-user Training and Documentation:Create user manuals, process documents.Train end-users and key users.8. Upgrades and Enhancements:Participate in SAP version upgrades or S/4HANA migrations.Adapt existing configurations to newer SAP versions if required.
