ABOUT PADMAJA DAS
I have been a professional Engineer for the past 10 years.Currently a Nuclear Deterministic Engineer with Rolls Royce SMR.Previously a system owner for Dreadnougt class Submarines with BAE System.Senior Nuclear Proppulsion Engineer for Astute and Dreadnought Class Submarines at Ministry of Defence. I have been also been a Senior Specialist Engineer for Dreadnought Class Submarines, specialising in mechanical platforms which consists of numerous systems. I have also trained Royal Navy and Royal Air Force Personnel from basic Foundations Degree to Degree level in Air, Electrical, Electronics and Marine Engineering. I have been assisting the delivery of the degree course for the Future Aero- systems Engineering Officers in the RAF. I have also trained the IDT (international defence training) especially the RSAF (Royal Saudi Air force) in Aerodynamics and Engineering Mathematics. I have served 5.5 years in the Royal Naval Reserves. I joined as a recruit and passed the Confirmation Course at HMS Raleigh. Specialising in MTO (Maritime trade operations) I was recommended for AIB (Admiralty Interview Board) and commissioned from BRNC (Britannia Royal Naval College) Dartmouth, specialising in SM Ops (Submarine Operations). I currently assist in STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) work, promoting engineering in the education sector. I actively seek to motivate and encourage BAME (Black Asian Minority Ethnicity) community, especially females, to not only learn various science subjects but to unlock there full potential and to join the armed forces to play a vital part in maximising the United Kingdoms defences. My mission is to influence the next generation, to innovate and to generate not only new engineering ideas, but to produce a diverse and strong engineering culture for our country and a strong military for our nation.
