I began my journey in education as a Teaching Assistant over 10 years ago, in Shropshire and soon realised that shaping young children’s lives was what I wanted to pursue as a career.I trained and qualified as a teacher at the primary school I attended as a child. After two stints of travelling the world and seeing different education systems, I returned to the UK and settled in Plymouth where I acquired a position at a successful school, which was on an upward trajectory. During my 6 years at the school we went through both a Section 5 and Section 8 inspection, where we achieved the Outstanding Ofsted grade.One of my biggest passions is watching children become successful and aspirational, regardless of social/economic status and my current position is furthering my own personal and professional development in a new environment.
