ABOUT PABLO MORI

Pablo is a member of the international arbitration group in Clifford Chance US LLP. He is based in New York and has over fifteen years of experience. He has been ranked as Future Leader by Who\'s Who Legal (20••••24) in Arbitration in the United States, as well as Associate to Watch and Next Generation Lawyer by Chambers and Partners (20••••19) and Legal 50•••••••19) respectively in Arbitration for Peru. He has advised and represented parties in bilingual international commercial and investment arbitration disputes some valued over USD 10 billion, where he has acted as lead counsel or second chair. Pablo’s commercial arbitration practice involves large-scale infrastructure projects, oil & gas, mining, telecommunications, maritime controversies, aviation disputes, and others. Pablo has represented both investors and Sovereigns in high-stakes investment disputes involving Australia, Colombia, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Italy, Mexico, Pakistan, Peru, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, the United States, and the United Kingdom, among others. His recent experience includes controversies related to the construction of petroleum port facilities in Colombia, a multipurpose dam in the Dominican Republic, and a powerline in Guatemala. He has represented private and state entities in arbitration proceedings seated in the US, Latin American and Europe, before tribunals constituted according to the rules of various international arbitration centers, such as the ICC, ICSID, LCIA, and the LMAA.Pablo writes and teaches extensively on international arbitration and advocacy. He is passionate about the intersection between the arts and psychology, and legal persuasion. He is a frequent speaker at international arbitration conferences in various cities of the United States, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe. He has also been a lecturer on international arbitration, advocacy, and contract law in different law schools in Latin America and the United States. He holds an LL.M. from the University of Chicago and an LL.B. from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.He also serves as arbitrator in domestic and international commercial disputes seated in Latin America and Europe, involving industries of his expertise and parties from various nationalities.Pablo is also actively engaged in initiatives aimed at promoting diversity, inclusion, and mentoring.
