In this role, I participate in a variety of projects funded by government and industry partners, which allows me to get familiar with the UK manufacturing sector and its challenges by working with local and international companies including Rolls Royce and Airbus. The main goal is to improve the technology readiness level (TRL) of existing processes and techniques to be adopted by OEM. My main responsibilities include- Design, build & testing robotic/mechanical systems for optimizing manufacturing processes, in line with the company research goals- Develop, conduct, and evaluate new approaches to meet project objectives faster and more efficiently- Take responsibility for assuring quality and cost-effectiveness for projects- Make contributions to determining the feasibility of project goals and objectives- Interface with project managers and technical fellows for existing or proposed projects- Ensure final product meets needs as defined by project- Identify and keep abreast of novel technical concepts and markets- Assist in scientific publication
