As the Aviation Platform Lead for the National Laboratory of the Rockies,(formerly NREL), I manage a diverse portfolio and develop lab-wide strategy for the aviation industry across aviation fuels, infrastructure and aviation components. Bringing industry engineering and consulting experience to NLR, I provide technical leadership for energy systems and transportation programs for aviation, airport, and port related efforts. I lead and guide teams developing comprehensive, resilient, and sustainable energy strategies for both traditional energy systems and system efficiency modeling. I have a proven track record of leading teams covering energy efficiency, renewable energy generation, energy storage, ground transportation, advanced air mobility, hydrogen infrastructure modeling, demand response, and energy systems integration to optimize energy performance, reduce costs, and improve sustainability.
