ABOUT PETER RHODES
I am a second-year Mechanical Engineering student at Birmingham City University, with a strong background in CAD design (Catia, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, Inventor), and hands-on engineering projects. I have gained valuable experience leading and collaborating on projects, including my role as deputy lead of the chassis team - designing and constructing an aluminium monocoque chassis for Formula Student and securing first place at Innovation Fest 2024 with an innovative rollercoaster design.I am currently seeking a year-in-industry placement where I can apply my technical skills in a professional environment, while further developing my expertise in design, prototyping, and engineering principles. I am particularly interested in opportunities within the automotive, motorsport, manufacturing, and energy sectors.
