Driving the design and implementation of enterprise-scale data platforms with a focus on strategy, governance, and scalable architecture. I lead the definition and rollout of frameworks such as Data Mesh with Snowflake Zero Data Account (ZDA), GDPR-compliant data processing, workload migrations, and DataOps capabilities, ensuring our platform evolves in step with business and regulatory requirements.My role blends strategic leadership with hands-on architectural oversight- Vision & Strategy – shaping global data platform roadmaps to align with business objectives across 40 business units- Architecture & Governance – establishing standards for secure, compliant, and scalable platform adoption, with a strong focus on data quality and GDPR- Modern Engineering Practices – building automation pipelines and CI/CD processes to accelerate deployments, improve developer experience, and embed cost-efficient operations- Change Leadership – guiding teams through platform adoption, embedding DataOps culture, and enabling cross-functional collaboration.Unlike a traditional Data Platform Architect, my remit extends beyond technical blueprints. I ensure platform adoption, governance, and long-term value creation – translating business needs into functional data solutions, while orchestrating the technical and organizational change needed to deliver them.

ABOUT PRZEMEK E. BACHARA
I design and scale enterprise data platforms that balance speed, governance, and cost. Drawn to roles where global-scale architecture meets local precision – whether in Zurich, London, Warsaw or beyond.Today, I lead the Global Data Platform Design at Belron International, where I’m building a Snowflake- and AWS-centered Data Mesh for 40 business units. By embedding governance, chargeback, CI/CD pipelines, and compliance controls (GDPR, local residency requirements) into the platform, we enable business units to ship data products faster, stay secure, and control spend – all while giving leadership comparable insights across markets. In practice, this also means acting as an internal consultant for all business units – guiding them in translating commercial priorities into scalable data products and ensuring local challenges are addressed with global best practices.What motivates me is simple: data platforms only matter when they change outcomes – revenue, efficiency, or risk reduction. That’s why I design for adoption, trust, maintainability, and business alignment, not just technical elegance. I’ve learned that technology alone doesn’t drive adoption – it’s platform-as-a-product thinking, cost transparency, and trust that make teams embrace it.Alongside my work, I engage with the wider data community across the UK, Switzerland, and other European hubs as a Snowflake speaker, ambassador, and connector – constantly exchanging lessons on how to scale responsibly. Fluent in Polish and English, I enjoy helping diverse teams translate business priorities into scalable data products.
