ABOUT P. DANIEL WRIGHT

As Managing Partner and Tax Practice Leader at PwC Canada’s Winnipeg office, I lead our team in delivering innovative, practical, and forward-looking tax strategies that help clients succeed. With over two decades of experience in public practice, I focus on guiding private companies, family enterprises, and high-net-worth individuals through their most complex tax and succession challenges. My approach goes beyond compliance. I believe great tax advice requires both technical precision and a deep understanding of clients’ goals. I work to anticipate challenges, unlock opportunities, and provide solutions that enable long-term growth and resilience. Over the years, I have built lasting relationships with business owners and families by earning their trust and helping them navigate transitions with confidence. Throughout my career, I’ve been dedicated not only to serving clients but also to advancing the profession. Recognized as an FCPA, FCA and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), I’ve contributed to shaping the next generation of tax professionals as a tutor for the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants’ In-Depth Tax Course. I view leadership as both delivering results today and preparing others to lead tomorrow. I also remain committed to strengthening Manitoba’s business ecosystem. I have served on boards including Economic Development Winnipeg, the Manitoba Business School Foundation, and the Young Associates of the Asper School of Business, while also contributing to initiatives such as the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise. These experiences allow me to give back, support community growth, and stay closely connected to the evolving needs of businesses in our region. At the core of my work is a simple but powerful purpose: helping people and organizations thrive. Whether advising clients, mentoring professionals, or contributing to community boards, I am driven by the belief that strong leadership and sound advice can create lasting value for generations.
