As an Associate Professor of Cybersecurity at the University of Stavanger, I focus on advancing research and education in trustworthy AI, cybersecurity, and next-generation communication systems (6G). My work revolves around the intersection of AI security, privacy, and uncertainty quantification, with a strong emphasis on- Uncertainty Quantification in AI – Developing methods to assess and improve the reliability of AI models in critical applications, ensuring robust decision-making in cybersecurity and communication networks- Privacy-Preserving AI – Designing secure AI models that maintain user privacy through techniques such as federated learning, differential privacy, and secure multi-party computation- Homomorphic Encryption for AI – Investigating and implementing encryption techniques that enable secure computations on encrypted data, facilitating privacy-preserving machine learning and AI inference- Secure AI for 6G Networks – Exploring how AI can be integrated into next-generation wireless networks while maintaining security, privacy, and resilience against adversarial threats- Collaborative Research & Industry Engagement – Partnering with academia and industry to develop secure and trustworthy AI-driven systems for healthcare, critical infrastructure, and autonomous systems.In addition to research, I actively contribute to teaching, PhD supervision, and curriculum development, ensuring that students gain expertise in the evolving landscape of cybersecurity, AI, and privacy-enhancing technologies. My work is regularly published in top-tier cybersecurity and AI conferences and journals, contributing to the advancement of secure and trustworthy AI systems.
