Execute and optimize microbial fermentation processes for recombinant E. coli protein expression, with hands-on operation of fermenters and bioreactors at bench-top and pilot scales (1 L, 6 L, 42 L). Perform downstream operations at bench-top and pilot scales, operating homogenizers, tangential flow filtration (TFF) rigs, centrifuges, and lyophilizers, ensuring process efficiency, reproducibility, and safety. Lead in-house process development, optimization, and data collection to enable successful technology transfers to CMOs at manufacturing scales (750 L–10 m³), ensuring scalability, process robustness, and compliance with quality standards. Design and optimize upstream processes using DoE (JMP) and high-throughput microbioreactor systems (BioLector). Perform in-process analytics, including growth kinetics, biomass yield, metabolite profiling, recombinant protein expression, and titer measurement, to ensure strong process understanding. Develop and maintain ELN records, SOPs, HSE documentation, experimental reports, and batch records, while providing technical support for troubleshooting, scale-up, and regulatory compliance. Present experimental findings, process transfer strategies, and data-driven recommendations to cross-functional teams and senior management, facilitating informed decision-making.
