About Dennis C.
Dennis Crossen is a mathematician, engineer, and educator. He is also a former program manager of the NASA Kennedy Space Center. He has lectured on several continents including North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. Dennis has taught courses in Software Development, Bayesian Statistics/Analytics, Decision Sciences, Cyber-security, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Operations Management, Quantitative Modeling, and Information Technology. He has taught and practiced in the engineering/technology industry for over 40 years. Dennis has been active in corporate, governmental, and commercial sectors having developed complex technological solutions for the United Nations, Department of Defense, Department of Health and Human Services, National Institute of Health, the Pentagon, RCA, Lockheed-Martin, Siemens, Verizon, and others. He has been a Guest on Comcast’s CN8 “Money Matters Today” and “Comcast Newsmakers” television programs speaking on technology issues.Dennis was a 2010 recipient of the Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship from the National Science Foundation (U.S.) in Education. He holds MSc, MBA, and Electrical Engineering degrees from Drexel University and has completed academic programs and coursework at the University of Oxford (Kellogg; Computing), Georgetown University (International Business), Harvard University (Information Systems), MIT (Computing), and Columbia University (Optics).Dennis has recently taken on all professional roles remotely in order to work on other passions. He has traveled on 6 of 7 continents. Dennis has explored numerous backwater (off the beaten path) destinations including Chile, Patagonia, Easter Island, India, and China. In 2023, he had hiked several routes on the Camino de Compostela (Santiago de Compostela, España) totaling 700 km (435 miles). He also completed day hikes on the GR10, GR11, and Haute Randonnée Pyrénéenne routes along the borders of France and Spain in the Pyrenees mountains. Dennis is currently in training for the Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB)- traversing the Mont Blanc massif in Switzerland, France, and Italy.
