Product Owner for SSE Airtricity’s public facing platforms. These platforms included 3 websites and 1 mobile application. In addition to these the team is also implementing a new design system, replacing legacy Web and Mobile apps with new technology stacks whilst managing additional 3rd party work. The team is sizable for an agile squad hosting 20-25 internal and external team members across development, analysis and testing.Improving squad performance in terms of throughput, over doubling its release cadence in the first year. Identifying and enacting pragmatic agile improvements such as work in progress limits, sprint length changes, governance and release management changes, etc. Improving committed to delivered work conversion rate at PI planning from 68% in prior quarters to above 90%. Successfully managing a change during this time from a predominantly contractor first squad, to one that is majority in house.Relationship manage varied stakeholders, including but not limited to, 4 product managers, 3 vendor account managers, 2 business value stream managers, 1 senior technical product owner. Presenting reviews, roadmaps, value and feedback to these groups on a sprint basis. Run learning and coaching sessions within SSE’s Agile academy aimed at agile job roles and specifically Product Owners. Acted as a coach to graduate scheme colleagues on placement within the department. Coach less experienced delivery leads and product owners in agile and squad leadership.A prior assignment to this platform team required liaising to the industry and governing bodies regarding a major regulatory change. Submitting documentation and ensuring compliance to deadlines for qualification into the new Market-wide Half Hourly settlements regime. Representing SSE at industry events around this change.
