Owen is now leading IoT aaS Sales EMEA at Cisco, where he will be responsible for driving new business—landing new logos and launching new products. In March 2013 Owen joined the AT & T M2M and Mobile Applications Solutions team. He was promoted to the Director of Sales-Internet of Things (IoT) EMEA in 2018.As a global leader in the Internet of Things (IoT), AT & T is focused on supporting the emergence of the real-time, adaptive enterprise. AT & T is driving wireless capabilities into a wide variety of devices beyond traditional handsets — power meters, vending machines, vehicles, shipping containers — to help their business customers reduce operational costs and enable new revenue opportunities.AT & T defines IoT communications as a set of networking and IT technologies, which connect the physical systems of the world. AT & T has been serving this market for more than a decade, supporting millions of IoT end points.Prior to joining AT & T Owen worked for ElectraLink where he was recruited to deliver and drive new commercial data services and revenues. He also spearheaded the engagement with ElectraLink\'s SI Partners such as IBM, HP and Logica as they developed and deployed their Foundation Smart Metering solutions and their approaches to the GB Smart Metering Data Comms Co. Data Services Provider procurement.Prior to this Owen worked for 10 years at Orange. During his time at Orange he headed up the Machine 2 Machine sales team, taking it from a standing start to a turnover close to £12M p.a. He spearheaded Orange\'s foray into the emerging wireless AMR and remote monitoring market and won and managed many of the largest M2M clients for Orange, relationships that continue to flourish and drive significant revenues today. His final role at Orange was as Head of the Finance and IT Corporate Sector Sales Team, with responsibility for some of the largest and most demanding Orange customers and revenues in excess of £30m p.a. At Orange, Owen won the coveted Orange Distinction award for \'Outstanding Leadership\', the highest accolade that Orange bestows in Business Sales.
