About Owen Gerdes
I currently work with Medpace as a Clinical Data Analyst. I attended Carl H. Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics. Additionally, I minored in Statistics. I have always been drawn to finding a solution with reasoning, which is why I majored in Analytics. Data, to me, is enabling the world to view various processes to figure out problems and solutions to those problems. I continue to be curious and look for opportunities to develop my learning whenever I am able to.Previously, I have worked as a Head PACE Leader at the Carl H. Lindner College of Business. In this role, I acted as both a mentor and TA for a group of 15 first year students to work through three semester long projects to develop their knowledge of the real business realm. In these projects, I have worked directly with Skyline Chili, the Sierra Club Miami Group, the Cincinnati Bengals, the Archaeological Research Institute, and State Farm. Additionally, as a Head PACE Leader I assisted with the structure, planning, and facilitation for two training sessions. I provided guidance to not only my students but also fellow PACE Leaders. Previously, I have attained the rank of Eagle Scout. Through this opportunity, I led a service project from ideation to implementation. I worked with the Humane Association of Warren County to construct dog and cat blankets for their animals, a fully recyclable bench, and we also collected donations for a food and supply drive. Further, this opportunity enabled me to grow leadership skills I find invaluable even to this day. I attended two national leadership courses, to which I created two leadership presentations for continuous development within my home troop.
