I am a native of Bellevue, Washington, having relocated to the Lone Star State to attend the University of Texas at Austin and have remained in the ATX area as a proud Longhorn in the years since graduation.I joined Confluent as a Cloud Account Executive / CAR in early December 2024, supporting the Midwest region and helping evangelize the incredible power of data streaming. Confluent\'s CEO Jay Kreps founded Apache Kafka as an open-source project in 2011, starting Confluent in 2014 as the industry standard for managed-service offerings of Kafka (and now Apache Flink).As the creators of Apache Kafka, Confluent holds the ultimate breadth of expertise and documentation in managing the solution, and acts as a the only true Data Streaming Platform on the market that\'s fully Cloud-Native (GCP, Azure, and AWS), Complete (HA, 120+ connectors, stream processing, stream governance), and able to be run Everywhere (on-premise, private cloud, or public cloud).Prior to Confluent, I served as an Account Development Representative for the noSQL OLTP database standard MongoDB, supporting enterprise customers out of the TOLA (Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana) region.
