I have 11 years experience as a program analyst, data miner, and research specialist for the US Food and Drug Administration. I’m currently a management program analyst in FDA\'s Office of Regulatory Affairs after serving on a year long TDY within FDA\'s Office of the Commissioner (Office of Food Policy and Response) as well as serving as an import operations liaison to the Office of Trade at Customs and Border Protection in NW Washington, DC. I\'m multi-lingual: French, Spanish, Arabic (Levant) and am very interested in the international arena, global capacity building and strategic management.

   I serve as a FDA import operations liaison to US Customs and Border Protection\'s Office of International Trade. The Commercial Targeting and Analysis Center (CTAC) is a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility designed to streamline and enhance federal efforts to address import safety issues. The CTAC combines the resources and manpower of CBP and other government agencies to protect the American public from harm caused by unsafe imported products. Improved communication standards and information-sharing while reducing redundant inspection activities are driving reasons to the fusion center\'s success. CTAC, which is headed by DHS and within CBP’s Office of International Trade in Washington, reflects three core principles: prevention, surveillance and response.My duties include- providing direction, assistance and oversight where needed to joint field import operations; managing and monitoring assignments and accomplishments in import and investigative program areas- collaborating with CBP to develop joint operations of surveillance and targeting based on analysis of data from FDA and other OGA databases- learning aspects of investigations of not only food safety, medical device safety among other FDA commodity domain areas- developing procedures and processes aimed to streamline the day-to-day operations handled by collaborative priority targets at the CTAC.
