Ousmane Diallo is a passionate advocate for social justice, youth empowerment, and community service, dedicated to creating impactful change. In his current role as a Legislative Coordinator and Community Liaison, he supports the Assemblymember’s legislative agenda through policy research, bill drafting, and coalition-building with advocacy groups. His work allows him to connect directly with constituents, providing them with support, guidance, and solutions to issues that affect their daily lives.Previously, as the National Field Director for the National Action Network Youth & College Division, Ousmane led rallies, marches, and educational forums, focusing on social justice issues that impact young people. He is especially proud of organizing thousands of students for the 60th Anniversary of the March on Washington, fostering a spirit of unity and action among youth nationwide.Ousmane’s work as a Cities United Fellow centers on developing strategies to reduce violence and improve the well-being of young people of color in urban communities. He advises state, local, and federal leaders on Community Violence Intervention programs and conducts research on best practices in trauma-informed youth development.Ousmane is also committed to promoting inclusion within academic environments. As a member of the Racial Justice Committee at the University at Albany, he created mentoring and networking programs to bridge gaps within the Political Science department, championing a more equitable academic space for students from diverse backgrounds.

Plus staffing and representing the member at pressers, advocacy meetings, and community events.• Resolve constituent service requests including but not limited to: answering calls, emails, letters, and visits from constituents seeking support and assisting in finding the best possible outcome for these constituent problems
