Otto is the founder of the Otto Group, a collaborative of senior communication and marketing professionals who together are ready to help you tell your story anywhere you need to land it! Otto is a proven, strategic leader for internal, external, and executive communications with specific experience in the high-tech industry. Otto has designed and supported global marketing communication campaigns, organized industry and internal events, and helped executives across industries communicate the right message to the right audience. Otto brings more than 25 years of broad marketing communications experience. After a stint as a sports editor in the Netherlands, Otto has held various senior communication roles across different industries, including healthcare insurance, hardware, software, and consumer products.After working at several technology startup companies and public relations agency Waggener Edstrom (now WE), Otto spent more than eight years in a variety of senior PR and AR roles at Intel Corporation. In 2007 he moved to Microsoft to centralize the Server & Tools Business PR team, while also leading all communications efforts for the company’s Windows 2008 Server launch (dubbed ‘Heroes Happen Here’). In 2010 Otto became the Director of Marketing Communications for the Office of the CIO at Microsoft, managing all internal, external, and executive communication efforts across internal and external audiences for Microsoft IT and the company\'s Chief Information Officer. After his departure from Microsoft in 2017, Otto has consulted with several companies across the technology landscape, from start-ups to technology giants such as Google, Intel, and Microsoft. In 2020, he joined forces with a former colleague to form consulting firm Loud Whispers, which was officially launched in March of 2021.An independent film enthusiast since he was a teenager, Otto has worked on several side projects in the film industry, including a role as PR advisor supporting Dreamscape LLC. He also served on the Board of Advisors for Audience Productions, a movie crowd-sourcing start-up.Otto holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from Central Washington University, where he was honored with the \'Distinguished Alumni Award\' for the department of Communications in 2010. Today he serves on the Board of Directors for the College of Arts & Humanities at CWU. A native of the Netherlands and fluent in three languages, Otto also attended the School for Journalism in Kampen, the Netherlands for three years majoring in print journalism.
