ABOUT OTTO KRUSE
I am an Engineering Program Manager with a strong background in software development and leadership. My parents are first generation immigrants from Denmark. They came to the US with dreams of a better life. My Dad was a craftsman, building a successful cabinet making business. He instilled in me patience, hard work, and attention to detail. I was born in this country and had one brother; 10 years older than me. I competed with him constantly, from that I learned tenacity, toughness, and problem solving. My Mom showed me how to treat people well, with respect and kindness. As an adult I developed my communications skills, as I am naturally an introvert. Becoming a software engineer was a perfect early career choice for me as a I craved the attention to detail, accuracy, and problem solving. Throughout my adult life I have been selected for leadership positions and have embraced that. I have a calm, collaborative, influence style of leadership to keep the teams engaged and motivated to create excellent results. I pay attention to the important details to ensure the best outcomes for the products I manage and work on. I am passionate about photography. I aim to create photos that generate wonder, inspiration, and joy.
