About Osma Thompson

Osma Dossani Thompson is DLR Group\'s Transportation Design Leader, and is a licensed architect in the state of California. In the architecture field, Osma has worked as both a designer and project manager, strongly believing in seeing her work from conceptual design to finished product. Her work presently focuses on transportation architecture, such as station design, master planning, and multi-family housing, however she\'s has experience in all sectors, ranging from education, workplace, and cultural centers. She graduated from the Master of Architecture program at the California College of the Arts. She was also trained as a sound designer for theater and film, having received a Bachelor of the Arts from UCLA, in their school of Theater, Film and Television. She also earned two minors in Archaeology and Comparative Literature during her time there. The combination of studying architecture and theater has weighed a bias in her creative work; her designs stem from how she envisions the visitor / occupant / inhabitant to experience the building, or space. She intends to continue to pursue cutting edge design work, as well as seeing projects through from concept to construction. She also serves on the Architectural Review Board in the City of Palo Alto.
