About Oscar Rincón-Guevara
I am a seasoned professional with the capability to translate ambiguous problems into well-defined analytical plans in multiple knowledge domains by making sense of big data. My expertise lies in developing innovative solutions that integrate advanced modeling, natural language processing, and data visualization. Currently serving as a Data Scientist at the CDC, I collaborate with economist, epidemiologist and statisticians to enhance public health action. My focus revolves around leveraging cutting-edge technologies to bringing a wealth of experience to analyze large scale data.Before joining CDC, I focused on understanding how to make efficient personalized production available to everyone everywhere. To this end, I studied how product design is related to its underlying manufacturing system. I used analytical approaches to optimize, analyze, and measure different levels of personalization based on customer preferences and profiles. Outside public health I have worked on projects related to manufacturing systems and supply chain management. I received my PhD in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.
