About Oscar Manchego

First-generation Peruvian American college graduate, raised in NYC with a passion for finance, economics and private equity. I received my BBA in finance from Baruch College and my journey has led me to become a Columbia CUNY Fellow, delving into the intricacies of enterprise risk management. At Baruch, I strive to help business students achieve their goals, serving as their mentor, educator, and advocate. My current role as a private equity intern has exposed me to the entire deal flow cycle from lead generation all the way to closing. In my academics, serving as director of the external relations team for the Columbia Risk Management club, has allowed me to network and establish relationships with different financial institutions, creating opportunities for our peers in their career pursuits. This experience, paired with a top-tier performance in the Bloomberg Global Trading Challenge and Case Competition, showcases my ability to navigate high-stakes environments with precision and a keen risk appetite.
