ABOUT OSCAR DURAND
I am a multimedia producer and journalist, interested on the creative use of technology for storytelling. I have a background in photo/video/audio production, communication, and media. I am naturally curious and always looking to learn something new or improve my knowledge. I have a wide range of skills and experiences that allow me to be a creative and effective problem solver and leader. I am passionate about sharing people\'s stories - about forced migration, displacement, identity, and human rights - beyond news headlines. Between 2010 and 2019, I was based in Peru and Turkey, where I worked and traveled throughout South America, the Middle East, and Africa for international news and humanitarian organizations as a documentary photographer, videographer, and producer. In summary, my work was finding stories, the best way to tell them, and executing them.
