About Oscar Buendia

Oscar Buendia came to United States at the age of four from Colombia. Grew up in Plainfield, NJ and after high school enlisted into the USAF in 2007. While in the USAF earned a commanders scholarship to attend AFROTC at NJIT Detachment 4, where he earned a commission as a 2d Lt. in 2012. In 2020 he was selected as one of the first inter-service transfers into the newly formed US Space Force, where he conducts Defensive Cyber Operation (DCO) enabling operations world-wide.Oscar owns and operates a portfolio of 20 unit portfolio in Ohio and 2 units in Colorado for corporate rentals. Previously the co-host of REI Brothers podcast that during 2021 sat in the top 20 multifamily REI podcast on iTunes.His journey in real estate began in 2013 when he read Rich Dad Poor Dad. In 2016, joined a local group focusing on wholesaling, fix & flip, and other creative strategies on the residential side. A year passed and realized that these were not strategies he would want to do long term.In 2017, he went the buy and hold route with a duplex. Bought at a little below market andnetted $600 after all expenses. This opened his eyes to the benefits of long-term holds inhis journey towards financial freedom.Soon after in 2019, Oscar partnered with his brother to purchase a 20-unit rental portfolio and crushed any limiting beliefs he had. As of 2021 portfolio is stabilized to 95%+ occupancy on a consistent basis.Early 2020 Oscar co-founded two companies REI Brothers and GoodDay Capital. The first company started incorporates his podcast, social media, education, courses, and coaching.The second is the Real Estate Investment Firm for the purpose of syndicating & JVing commercial assets. Oscar\'s five year goal is to create a fund to invest alongside other operators.Based on his exposure & experience networking with business owners and high net worth individuals. Oscar believes his mission is to share the knowledge that private investments are the real way to build generational wealth.
