ABOUT OSCAR SALINAS
I am a finance student at Brigham Young University with a strong interest in private equity, investment banking, and corporate finance. I enjoy working with financial models, valuation frameworks, and data analysis to evaluate businesses and support strategic investment decisions.Currently, I serve as a Teaching Assistant for finance courses at the BYU Marriott School of Business, where I help students understand concepts such as valuation, capital budgeting, and financial analysis. I also manage financial operations for Dessera LLC, an AI and automation SaaS company, where I oversee budgeting, expenses, and operational decision-making.Previously, I interned and worked on a market expansion project with Taylor Fitness, participated in an LBO case competition where my team and I pitching an investment in YETI Holdings, and also the Ryan Valuation Case Competition, where we valued a company using exit multiple and DCF methodologies.
