This May I graduated from Marquette University with a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and a concentration in Innovation Leadership. I am beginning my career as a Multi-Discipline Engineer at Boeing South Carolina. In the Early Career Experience Program, I will have the privilege to rotate among 4 different teams within 2 years to get as much engineering exposure as I can. Upon completion of the program I will be able to decide what engineering team I final place. In my free time, I manage my own construction company, Los Hernandez Construction LLC. I founded the company in 2019, and we span the greater Milwaukee area. We specialize in home improvements, including drywall, plumbing, painting, electricity, siding, carpentry, flooring, and more. I specialize in customer support, organizing estimates, and schedule creation.

   Business idea originated after my parents experienced unexpected layoffs - Realized parents were skillful due to lots of experience but worked for a local construction company- identified the reason they were not entrepreneurs was due to an English language barrier- I took initiative to register an LLC and specialize in customer service- My main role is to advertise our company, talk to customers who are looking for home renovation projects, give them estimates, and translate everything to Spanish- Some of my weekly tasks include project management, schedule planning, customer communication, and keeping our accountant up to date- On weekends, I try my best to go to project sites and get hands on experience whether it’s plumbing, drywall, or carpentry work.
