As a graduate trainee on the Gripple graduate scheme, I am spending the next 16 months rotating around the business learning about how technology is used in the different areas. One of my main focuses will be on Artificial Intelligence, and if, when and how we can implement it into the business.

ABOUT OSCAR DEVINE-WRIGHT
Technology enthusiast working at Gripple LTD to advance their AI Strategy and Digital Transformation. I come from a Mathematical background, having graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2023 with a BSc (hons) in Mathematics. During my time there, I specialized in applied Maths, with an interest in machine learning, mathematical modelling of natural systems, and medical statistics. In my final year, I was also involved in a teaching placement at a local secondary school in Sheffield, giving me a great insight into the ups and downs of education from the eyes of a teacher. I am currently employed by Gripple on a technology graduate scheme. This 16 month program rotates me around the business, learning about each unique department via projects that have a direct impact. So far, I have worked on the AI strategy and look forward to being a part of the team that delivers this. In September I will be travelling to Costa Rica to lead a team of 15 for 3 months. This is in partnership with Raleigh International, and will be a great opportunity to improve my leadership, organization and resilience.In my spare time, I am an avid fell runner, and can be found bouncing over the heather in the Peak District after work! I also gig regularly with my band - Fuji Speedway - a fusion jazz band, and DJ in various venues and radio stations across the city.
