ABOUT OSCAR BELLON
I am a dedicated postdoctoral researcher with a strong passion for plant biotechnology and molecular biology, particularly in viticulture. Fascinated by science since childhood, my curiosity has driven me to explore how plants grow, adapt, and interact. My academic journey led me to study key developmental processes in grapevine, with a Ph.D. focused on the functional analysis of transcription factors regulating berry ripening.Throughout my training, I gained hands-on experience in gene expression and hormone analysis, tissue culture, genome editing, and genome-wide approaches such as DAP-seq and RNA-seq. I’ve contributed to projects on grapevine disease resistance, algal light adaptation, and regulatory networks underlying ripening, broadening my expertise across plant systems.These experiences have shaped both my technical skills and my collaborative mindset. I thrive in dynamic, multidisciplinary teams where challenges are met with creativity, precision, and shared insight. I view research as a collective journey—and I’m always ready to connect and find the way forward together.
