ABOUT OSARETIN OBANO
As someone who’s deeply passionate about driving innovation and creating opportunities, my passion lies at the intersection of startups, tech, and driving positive change in Africa and the global diaspora. Currently, as the Executive Director at the African Impact Initiative, I lead the team on our mission to shape the future of African entrepreneurship & Innovation. Through programs like the African Impact Challenge (which focuses on helping African startups building market-creating innovations to scale), and the B.R.I.D.G.E program (designed to help African immigrants thrive outside the continent), I’m fortunate to lead an amazing team towards this goal and build lasting partnerships with institutions like the Mastercard Foundation, and the University of Toronto that are aligned with these goals as well. I also wear the hat of the Program Manager for African Entrepreneurship & Partnerships at the BRIDGE (an accelerator at the University of Toronto). Here, I get to work within the Africa Health Collaborative, where I help turn ideas into real, life-changing healthcare ventures. Before diving into the startup space, I sharpened my skills at IBM in key Specialists and Business Development positions where I focused on areas like Cybersecurity, IT Automation, Cloud Optimization & Application Performance. Here I played a significant part in client acquisition and relationship management. Now as a Partner at TenX Capital, I get to spot and invest in early-stage ventures with game-changing potential.Whether it’s sales, consulting, or project management, I have significant experience in these areas, and I love sharing that knowledge. I’m here to connect, collaborate, and help push the boundaries of what\'s possible for startups, technology, and African innovation.Let’s connect, create, and make impact happen!
