Actively contribute to business development and proposal writing. Key projects:• Taku River IPCA Assessment: Led the socio-economic and environmental assessment for a proposed Indigenous Protected and Conserved Area (IPCA) in Taku River Tlingit First Nation territory. Scoped and evaluated spatial and socio-economic data sources to identify relevant indicators, conducted spatial analysis in R, used input-output multipliers to estimate regional income and employment impacts, reviewed scientific literature, and co-authored the final report to inform the decision on whether to adopt and formalize the IPCA.• Labour Market Equity Study: Led quantitative analysis to examine the state of equity-deserving groups in BC’s marine industry, identifying areas requiring improved labour market practices. Used R to analyze disaggregated Statistics Canada census data on employment and income for Indigenous peoples, women, and recent immigrants.• Submarine Cable Impact Assessments (Asia): Led the social impact assessments of submarine cable projects in South and East Asia. Reviewed applicable national and international social standards, developed a socio-economic baseline profile for the cable landing sites, assessed potential social and economic impacts of the project, and formulated mitigation strategies to address potential adverse impacts.• BC Marine Economy Interactions: Provided the federal fishing department with a detailed analysis of BC’s marine economy by examining the economic interactions between various marine-dependent activities and users, including marine energy, national defense, infrastructure, transport, and fishing. Carried out extensive literature review and developed a matrix representing the interactions.
