ABOUT OSAGIE A. EMOKPAE
Osagie is a pharmacist currently training as a PhD in the field of neurotoxicology and invertebrate neuroscience. His research interests are centered on studies that investigate the involvement of environmental and genetic players in driving mitochondrial-induced parkinsonian-like neurodegeneration in C.elegans. Utilizing tools in modern molecular biology and advanced microscopy, the big picture of this project is to discover novel druggable targets that will be beneficial for the development of safer and more effective Parkinson\'s disease therapeutics. Osagie has additional interests in the neurological space of the pharmaceutical industry. This relates to medical/ diagnostic product launch (logistics and supply chain), scientific detailing of CNS drugs (particularly those of clinical usefulness in molecular psychiatry and geriatrics), biological therapies and psychoactive nutritional supplements.
