Orson Porter is a strategic advisor to CEOs and Fortune 100 corporations. Orson’s experience and expertise are in positioning executives and their companies to strategically navigate politics, execute targeted brand campaigns, and pursue policy objectives at the highest federal, state, and local government levels.Orson is currently a Vice Chairman of the advisory firm Teneo Strategy. Since joining Teneo in 2011 to establish the firm’s government affairs capacity in Washington D.C, Orson has assembled and led a senior team of global experts using best practices learned in CEO advisory, brand campaigns, public policy prioritization, team alignment, policy forecasting, and investor relations support into an integrated approach providing clients with strategic counsel and operational support around the world. Before joining Teneo, Orson served for 12 years as the U.S. Director of Government and Public Affairs for Nike, Inc, the world’s largest fitness company. In this capacity, Orson devised and led Nike’s corporate strategy on policy priorities including international trade, brand campaigns and activations, corporate responsibility, and supply chain sourcing and crisis management. Before joining Nike, President Clinton appointed Orson as Special Assistant to the President and White House Midwest Political Director. He advised the President, Vice President, and senior staff and managed the White House’s posture on national and local issues in the Midwest. Proceeding his appointment to The White House, Orson served Milwaukee Mayor John O. Norquist as the City’s Principal Federal Liaison. Orson is a board member of the Nike N7 Fund which is committed to inspiring and enabling participation in sports for Native American and Aboriginal populations in North America. He is also on the board of the Bryce Harlow Foundation dedicated to advancing the integrity of government advocacy and increasing understanding of its significant role in the development of public. He has been a receipted for various awards and in 2023, The Consulting Report named Orson one of the Top 50 Government Consultants and Leaders in the U.S.
