Finance Officer - Fundraising, Communications and Policy - Income and Engagement and Commercial @Action for Children

Providing financial support to enable managers within Fundraising, Communications and Policy (FCP) teams to understand, manage and achieve their budgetary targets, and to provide interrogation and accuracy of financial data, highlighting areas which need focus- Providing support and financial advice to budget holders; monitoring and interpreting income and expenditure reports, balance sheet information and providing variance analysis- Assist with the accurate preparation of month end journals to agreed timelines with full supporting documentation- Using corporate systems to produce regular, timely and accurate management information. Complete and interpret reconciliations between the finance system, fundraising CRM and feed results back to relevant stakeholders- Preparing reconciliations of legacy income and key suspense accounts- Working with colleagues in the fundraising income processing and Treasury teams to ensure donations are accurately coded in both the fundraising and finance systems, particularly in respect of restricted donations- Assisting with the loading of budgets and quarterly reforecasts in line with budget holder plans- Participating at stakeholder meetings to professionally represent the finance function- Providing inputs into stakeholder business cases and ensuring the financial data within all business cases is robust and reliable- Supporting the finance team with any other ad hoc finance related requests as directed and to work collaboratively with finance colleagues across Action for Children to ensure consistency of approach and development of One Finance Team.
