ABOUT JAMIE ORR
Through my studies in Mechanical engineering, I developed a passion for the mechanical design and construction of buildings, with a focus on sustainable and innovative design. This interest was developed both in the classroom, and as a construction manager for Science Formal and a member of the Queen\'s Solar Design Team. My work in the construction industry has given me experience from both the perspective of the designer and the builder. This dual perspective allows me to better anticipate potential design issues in my work, and provides the practical knowledge to communicate effectively within the industry. Both within my work and beyond, I constantly strive for learning and self improvement, and embrace every opportunity to learn new skills. Beyond my training at work, I have completed courses to develop my knowledge of HVAC design, as well as learning to code in VBA for Excel.
