About Orrin Ames

I have 37 years of active litigation experience. In addition, I have 5 years of full-time law school teaching and 4 years of teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels as an adjunct instructor at various universities, to include the Mitchell College of Business at the University of South Alabama. I am now back in full-time academics. While with Troy, I have served as an Assistant Dean at the Sorrell College of Business at Troy University, the Associate Chair of Business Law and Ethics, Vice Chancellor of the Dothan Campus. In addition to these positions, I was appointed to the position of the Director of Entrepreneurship and Economic Innovation on our Dothan campus. I have returned to full-time teaching. I teach the graduate course of Legal Environment for Accountants to graduate students in the Master of Accountancy program, Legal Environment of Business to undergraduate students, Business Ethics to undergraduate students, and the graduate level course in Ethical Management and Leadership in Troy\'s MBA and MSM programs. Speaking and instructing to business and legal groups on business ethics and professional responsibility were always very important components of my practice of law and I have continued to do that while at Troy. Additionally, I publish Ethics and Litigation Reports in which I address contemporary issues in ethics and litigation.
