ABOUT OKUNOLA OROGUN

Okunola Adebola Orogun is a full time data scientist with with 10years of academic and industrial experience. He has developed some useful models (both for academic and industrial purposes), with his latests based on weight optimization for Proof of Personhood and also a concept drift based AML detection model.He is also a researcher and lecturer at Ulster University (QAHE partnership). His core research interest lies in the area of data science for financial analysis, Applied informatics, computational intelligence and wireless networks optimization. Some of his academic publications can be found on my researchgate profile.Adebola has a PhD degree, a masters degree in data science and analytics from the university of Hertfordshire (Distinction) and Master’s degree in Computing (ML major) from the Federal University of Technology Akure, NG and a B.Sc (First Class Hons) Joseph Ayo Babalola University,NG.He Worked on cross-functional projects and published 17 International journals/conference papers.Successfully carried out research work on interesting focus areas such as Credit Card Fraud Detection, Fuzzy Prediction, optimal channel allocation algorithm for cellular networks, amongst others.He is a member of the Association for Talent Development, Association for Computing Machinery, and International Association of Engineers.Received two (2) Scholarship Awards and a Letter of Recognition for excellent performance and remarkable stewardship. He owns Techaxle inc, a Data solutions community that helps beginners in their data act and analytics journey, and also helps established analysts get freelance gigs. I look forward to leading an insights team in the near future and ultimately gaining multi-industry experience to help transition organizations into an embedded learning culture.
