   When my dad was diagnosed with heart failure, I became his primary caregiver. I drew from my experience in hospitality, healthcare, and product design to solve real-world problems with empathy and systems thinking. From managing his medical care to building tools that simplified complex tasks. This became the most human-centered and impactful design challenge I’ve ever faced.Designing for Daily Life• Reworked our home for accessibility and ease of movement• Managed all care logistics: doctor appointments, medication tracking, insurance calls, post- surgery follow-ups• Created routines and environments that supported rest, clarity, and safetyBuilding Systems for Health Data• Designed a spreadsheet-based dashboard to track daily vitals, meds (current/past), and symptoms• Used simple charts to spot trends and advocate for better treatment options• Successfully helped reduce his medication load, improving his energy and peace of mindMaking Complex Info Useful (with AI)• Used AI to translate complicated medical records and test results into clear, digestible summaries• Organized everything into reusable formats—making it easy to reference during doctor visits or share with family• Applied my training in UX and prompt design to ask better questions, prep for appointments, and avoid miscommunicationCoordinating with Family• Built a calendar system to keep my siblings in the loop with appointments, responsibilities, and updates• Set up a shared process for care tasks to reduce burnout and create more consistency
