ABOUT ORLANDO DORSEY
I have had a natural propensity to manage risk since I was very young. People used to say that I was a “worrywart” and “buzz killer.” Being an Insurance Agent has allowed me to turn my instinct for risk management into a career that I really enjoy. My early professional experience with a Department of Defense contractor conducting hazard and risk analysis, first responder scenarios and data analysis should have given me a clue. As a Business Broker, I developed a passion for assisting business owners with making critical decisions about their growth or exit strategies. I learned that you have to understand the business model of the clients you serve, sometimes even more than they do, in order to provide the best possible solutions for them. Now, as a Commercial Insurance Agent, gaining knowledge about the clients I serve energizes me every day. When I’m away from work it’s all about family. I spend as much time as possible cultivating the young people of our family by supporting and participating in the things they are doing. I’m a true believer in leaving this planet a better place for those who follow.
