About Michael Stack
Passionate about data, software, and STEM. My experience spans managing complex data applications, where adaptability and innovation have been key to delivering impactful solutions. In late 2019, I co-founded Orangutan-STEM, a venture based in Northern Sumatra, Indonesia. Our team is dedicated to advancing autonomous agriculture through data and software infrastructure. Our work focuses on analyzing weather, optics, soil, and irrigation data to automate farming tasks, enhance crop yields, and promote sustainable agricultural practices as an alternative to palm oil farming. We integrate embedded systems and real-time APIs to support these efforts. Beyond technology, the initiative contributes to the local community by donating produce, sponsoring local student\'s educational ambitions, and offering wildlife trekking experiences to foster environmental awareness.
