Justin Wright-Eakes is the Founder and Managing Partner at Oval Park Capital, an early-stage hardtech venture firm investing in engineering-led breakthroughs that solve complex, high-cost problems across critical industries, including aerospace and defense, agriculture, built environment, energy, manufacturing, mobility, waste, and water. We focus primarily on physical and industrial technologies rooted in deep IP, particularly those emerging from overlooked ecosystems like the Southeastern U.S. where our contrarian sourcing strategy offers early, proprietary access to exceptional technical founders.By concentrating on quantifiable engineering risk (rather than binary scientific outcomes) and leveraging a portfolio support platform to help founders scale, we position companies for capital-efficient growth and outsized strategic exits.Prior to founding Oval Park Capital, Justin owned and operated two software companies, worked at distressed debt hedge fund Aurelius Capital Management, held multiple roles in the Investment Banking and Restructuring groups at Citi, and began his career at boutique M&A advisory firm Fidus Partners.Justin is a member of the Board of Directors at Archaius, Axil Health, Emrgy, Extellis, FortifyData, Lemurian Labs, Medicom, Parmonic, Sironix, and Talli.
