My role is focused on ensuring minimal customer (tenants, residents and businesses) disruption during project delivery while coordinating with leadership teams to manage the impact of multiple work streams. Responsibilities include leading Capex projects and Building Surveying initiatives, keeping to budgets and set project milestones, and providing regular progress reports to senior management, PMO and other monitoring sections. Safety compliance is emphasised, managing contractor and consultant relationships, and driving sustainability objectives, e.g. heat pumps and other retrofits programmes. Additionally, implementing risk management strategies across all activities is a key responsibility. My role involves developing and executing project management strategies, quality plans, and site inspection. I’m leading on health and safety, providing advisory services to development managers, valuers, property managers and surveyors. I oversee council-wide property project refurbishment and civil engineering projects. My skills and role also entail conducting per-acquisition surveys, dilapidations and other building surveying advisory services, managing project delivery teams, and producing reports and business cases for the approval of the council. I manage external consultants and contractors, and oversee the design process from feasibility to completion and handover. Additionally, I lead project board meetings to report on risks, issues, and opportunities.
