ABOUT ONKAR MAHAPATRA
I am a final year student of B.Tech Information Technology at Delhi University, with a keen interest in data science and machine learning. I have completed two research internships at DRDO and where I applied my skills in eye tracking, data wrangling, and machine learning to real-world problems. I have also participated in the Amazon ML Summer School, where I learned from industry experts and mentors about various aspects of machine learning and its applications. As a research intern at DRDO, I developed machine learning models for workload classification, using eye-tracking data and performance metrics. I also created informative visualizations and established correlations between the data and individual performance on the task, under the guidance of Dr. Sushil Chandra. As a research intern at I worked on the Facebook Mobility Project Data team, where I performed data munging, data wrangling, and preprocessing, and linked movement maps with the district and national level datasets for India, under the supervision of Dr. Tavpritesh Sethi. Through these internships, I gained valuable experience and insights into the field of data science and machine learning, and contributed to the research goals of the organizations. I am motivated by the potential of data science and machine learning to solve complex and impactful problems, and I aspire to pursue a career in this domain. I believe that I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, and learn from the best in the industry.
