ABOUT OM PRAKASH MAURYA
I am Dr. Om Prakash Maurya, a researcher in Electrical Engineering specializing in sensor design, electronic instrumentation, and FPGA-based signal processing. I earned my Ph.D. at IIT Roorkee, where my work focused on developing capacitive sensors for micro-droplet detection, humidity and moisture measurement, proximity touch sensing, and digital interfacing circuits using sliding DFT algorithms. I implemented real-time signal processing on LabVIEW FPGA and optimized interdigitated multi-sensor structures capable of detecting resistance and capacitance simultaneously measurement. My research involved COMSOL-based multiphysics modeling, sensor fabrication, and experimental validation, enhancing my understanding of capacitive and resistive sensing, as well as temperature-compensated measurement techniques. I also contributed to collaborative projects on physiological and physical sensors for stress, drowsiness, and behaviour analysis.I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at IIT Madras, working on an Automatic Inspection System for Non-Metallic Pipelines, further developing my skills in embedded instrumentation and applied sensing technologies.Technical Skills: Hands-on experience: NI cRIO-9039 with NI Elvis II, DSO-X-2024A, Agilent-4294A, and LCR-8110G. Circuit simulation and PCB designing: LTspice, Multisim, Ultiboard, Autodesk Fusion, and MATLAB Simulink. Multiphysics and 3D modelling: COMSOL Multiphysics, Ansys Maxwell. Programming languages: LabVIEW, Verilog, C Programming, Python. Sensor fabrication and characterization: Interdigitated Capacitive Sensor and Resistive Sensor. Evaluation Board: Capacitance-to-Digital Converter for Capacitive Sensing i) FDC2214, ii) FDC1004, AD7150, and iv) AD7156. Statistical data analysis: MS Excel, Origin, MATLAB. Documentation tools: MS Word, LaTeX, MS Visio, and MS PowerPoint.
