ABOUT OMKUMAR PATIL
I’m a Business Analytics MSc graduate with a Distinction from the University of Birmingham, with a strong interest in turning raw data into clear, actionable insights that support real business decisions. I enjoy working at the intersection of data, operations, and strategy — where accuracy, structure, and clarity really matter.Through my academic and practical experience, I’ve worked extensively with tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Python, SPSS, and SQL, supporting data cleaning, analysis, and reporting across a range of projects. One of my key projects involved building a predictive model for multi-criteria decision-making, where I translated complex data into insights that could be directly applied in a real-world business context.Alongside my technical background, I bring strong stakeholder and communication skills developed through roles such as Student Engagement Assistant at the Careers Network, where I analysed engagement data, supported programme optimisation, and worked closely with diverse teams to improve outcomes. I’m comfortable explaining data findings in a clear, practical way to both technical and non-technical audiences. What drives me is data reliability and impact — making sure information is accurate, well-structured, and delivered on time so teams can trust it and act on it. I’m proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoy collaborating across functions to improve processes and decision-making.Outside of work, I enjoy the strategic side of cricket, staying active at the gym, and unwinding through singing and reading. I’m keen to connect with professionals and organisations where I can continue developing my analytics skills while contributing meaningfully to data-driven teams. Always open to conversations around data analytics, reporting, operations, and entry-level to graduate opportunities.
