I am Omkar Anil Prabalkar, a Linux System Administrator with over 3 years of hands-on experience in managing critical IT infrastructures. My career has been shaped by my passion for technology, precision, and a commitment to delivering stable, secure, and optimized systems. Currently employed at CMS Info Systems Ltd, I work on the SBI ATM IT project, ensuring the availability and smooth functioning of systems that power one of the country’s largest banking networks.My journey began with a Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering, a discipline that sharpened my analytical thinking and instilled in me a methodical approach to problem-solving. I was captivated by Linux, servers, and the entire ecosystem of system administration. Post-graduation, I pursued this interest passionately and landed a role where I could channel my skills into meaningful contributions.Since joining CMS Info Systems Ltd in December 2022, I have taken on responsibilities that span server setup, OS patching, log analysis, system hardening, firewall configuration, user access management, network support coordination, and automated task scripting.What I find most fulfilling about my role is the constant challenge it presents. From daily monitoring reports to unexpected system crashes, no two days are alike. I regularly work on server performance optimization, KDump analysis, storage configuration with Dell Unity 350F, load balancer firmware upgrades, and Dynatrace/Splunk monitoring implementation.My key technical strengths include:Linux Expertise: Proficient in Red Hat, SUSE, Ubuntu, and CentOS distributions.
