About Omid Nematollahi

I hold a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Pusan National University, South Korea, specializing in fluid mechanics, renewable energy, and thermal energy systems. Over the past decade, my work has primarily involved designing and conducting experiments in these fields, with a particular emphasis on advancing refrigeration systems. My contributions to the field have been significant, evident in over 30 research articles published in reputable SCI/SCIE journals, resulting in an H-index of 21. Additionally, I have actively served on editorial boards and provided manuscript reviews for numerous academic publications. In terms of innovation and intellectual property, I have filed multiple patents in both Korea and the United States, reflecting my commitment to pushing the boundaries of knowledge and finding practical solutions. Overall, my academic and professional journey has been centered around extensive research, publication, and patenting activities, primarily focused on developing refrigeration systems. However, it has also allowed me to explore various aspects within fluid mechanics, renewable energy, and thermal energy systems.

In the past two years, I have led a team of innovative engineers focused on the development of domestic refrigerators. Our work covered a wide range of activities, including zero-dimensional and full-scale Computational Fluid Dynamics simulations, providing us with valuable insights to improve performance and refine designs. We have made significant progress in multiple New Product Development (NPD) projects, currently in the prototyping phase, where we are implementing new control algorithms to further enhance efficiency and functionality. Additionally, we have successfully completed several value engineering projects that are now fully operational.A major accomplishment has been the successful integration of new energy regulations (NEL) for refrigerators into our designs. This marks an important milestone as we have worked diligently to optimize the refrigeration systems to meet these updated energy standards. Through the collaborative efforts of our dedicated team, we have explored various simulation techniques, developed innovative designs, and successfully incorporated the new regulations into our refrigerator models.
