About Omid Farahani
With over five years of experience in admissions, academic advising and college/career counseling, I am passionate about guiding students toward discovering their future careers and educational paths. My journey has been dedicated to helping young people navigate the complex and challenging paths of their academic and career journey. I take great pride in helping students shape their personal and professional futures. I specialize in assisting students with course selection to ensure that their academic journey is aligned with their career aspirations. One of my core beliefs is that career development unfolds in nonlinear ways — it\'s full of twists, turns, and new opportunities. I love helping students understand that it\'s okay to change direction, whether that means shifting majors or exploring new career fields. I aim to empower my students to make decisions that reflect their evolving interests and short-term/long-term career goals. As an urban high school college and career advisor, I’ve had the privilege of impacting many lives. One of my proudest accomplishments was securing over $26 million in merit-based scholarships for 120 students in my first year at St. Anthony High School, marking the largest scholarship total in the institution’s history. This year, I have brought over $30 million in merit-based scholarships for my 150 students, helping them access higher education opportunities that may have once seemed inaccessible or impossible to attain. I’ve helped my high school students gain acceptance into prestigious institutions such as the UW Madison, Richmond, Lehigh, RPI, Union, Conn, Gettysburg, St. Olaf, Wooster, and HWS on full-ride scholarships. These successes are a testament to my dedication to urban student success and my deep commitment to providing guidance, support, and resources that empower them to succeed both academically and in their future careers.
