About Omar Sallam

Passionate about applying cutting-edge technologies to redefine Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and fluid dynamics simulations, I specialize in the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Physics Informed Neural Networks (PINN), Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN), and Large Eddy Simulations (LES). Currently immersed in a Ph.D. program while serving as a Research Assistant, my focus lies in advancing CFD simulations through innovative approaches. My research involves conducting CFD Large Eddy Simulations (LES) using OpenFOAM, augmented by AI techniques such as PINN and GAN. This combination allows for the inference of velocity components and pressure on a finer grid, achieving results that align statistically with Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS) solutions. A significant aspect of my work revolves around the development of PINN models for super-resolution of CFD simulations. This not only enhances the accuracy of results but also mitigates computational costs associated with high-resolution simulations. I am actively seeking opportunities to collaborate with like-minded professionals and organizations interested in pushing the boundaries of CFD, AI, PINN, GAN, and LES.
